On the 30th of January 2003 a historical meeting between the President of the Republic of India, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda took place in New Delhi. Swamiji and the President spent 45 minutes in relaxed conversation about social and spiritual topics.
This year the Czech and Slovak republic celebrating the 30th anniversary of Swamiji's coming to these countries.
Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda is paying a yearly winter visit to India with a group of disciples.
Around 250 international visitors - doctors, health care professionals and practitioners of yoga - attended the conference, presided by the author of the Yoga in Daily Life system, His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Ji, His Holiness Dharmsamrat Paramhans Swami Madhavananda Ji and His Highness Shri Gaj Singh Ji, Maharaja of Jodhpur.
This major international conference was held at the prestigious India International Centre, New Delhi and was well attended by prominent delegates from 15 different countries. The inaugural ceremony was performed by Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, with prayers dedicated to Ayurved's presiding deity, Lord Dhanwantari.
