Vishwaguruji bestows His Rudraksha Mala on Swami Avatar Puriji
A Sacred Moment: Vishwaguruji bestows His personal Rudraksha Mala on successor Swami Avatar Puriji
On the auspicious day of 30 May 2025, a deeply significant spiritual event took place in Vienna, Austria, when Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji, Vishwaguruji, entrusted his personal rudraksha mala to his successor, Swami Avatar Puriji.
This sacred gesture represents one of the most symbolic acts of the OM Sri Alakhpuriji Siddha Peeth Parampara, signifying the continuation of spiritual lineage, divine protection and the passing of spiritual authority from guru to disciple.
This rudraksha mala is not only rare in its physical form – each bead being a seed that emits a subtle, sacred rattle when shaken – but it also holds immense spiritual significance. Vishwaguruji received this very mala at the age of 17 from Hindu Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji (Holy Guruji) in South India. Holy Guruji had received the mala from Sri Shankaracharyaji, as he already had his personal mala given to him by Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji, this special rudraksha mala he gave to Vishwaguruji. Reflecting on this profound moment, Vishwaguruji shared:
"I was given a mala and mantra by Holy Guruji – the most precious treasure I could ever be given. It is the most precious thing I own. All mantras and all my bhakti are inside it. It was touched by Holy Guruji’s mala, which he got from Mahaprabhuji. All that it contains, I am passing on to all of you."
In receiving the mala, Swami Avatar Puriji expressed his deep humility and gratitude:
"Guru Kripa Hi Kevalam, Shishya Ke Ananda Mangalam"

"The grace of the guru is absolute and is the only reality. The disciple on whom this grace is bestowed is in the highest bliss, harmony and happiness. When we
seek the shelter of Gurudev, our life becomes truly successful."
He further emphasized:
"We need guru bhakti, to serve Him, and to walk the path He has shown. When the blessing of Gurudev is upon us, then there is nothing more that we need. Gurudev is always in our hearts, and this is the most important realization – that He is present in every mantra we repeat."
"With every chant of the mantra, with every bead, the energy of Gurudev, through the mala blessed by Vishwaguruji, flows through us. We are dedicating each mantra, our love and our meditation to Gurudev.
'Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwarah' – Guru is Brahma, Guru is Vishnu, Guru is Mahesh/Shiva.
We practise our mantra for the Guru, and our Guru is God; our God is our Guru."
The act of bestowing this sacred mala to Swami Avatar Puriji is not merely a symbolic ritual. It marks the transference of spiritual knowledge, inner power and divine protection, ensuring the continuation of the sacred teachings and practices of Yoga in Daily Life. It confirms the strength and purity of the guru-disciple relationship, the heart of the spiritual path.
This event will be remembered as a milestone in the living history of the OM Sri Alakhpuriji Siddha Peeth Parampara, and a powerful reminder that the light of the guru shines eternally through the heart of the disciple.
