A Summer of Yoga, Satsang and Spiritual Inspiration
A Summer of Yoga, Satsang and Spiritual Inspiration
Summer 2026 with Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji
Summer 2026 brought a rich series of Yoga in Daily Life programmes with Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji, connecting practitioners and families worldwide through yoga, satsang, meditation, devotion, and community.
From the peaceful hills of Strilky, Czechia, to the tranquil surroundings of Vép, Hungary, through Rastovac and the sun-bathed Croatian Adriatic coast in Rijeka and Split, and finally to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, participants of all generations came together to deepen their practice, share spiritual experiences and celebrate the living tradition of Yoga in Daily Life.
A highlight of the programme was the Guru Purnima celebration, observed both in Strilky, Czechia, and at OM Ashram in India.
Yoga for Every Generation
Each location offered a varied programme designed to welcome people at different stages of life and practice.
The days were filled with yoga programmes for children, beginners, experienced practitioners and older generations, as well as the singing of mantras and bhajans. Highlights included inspiring lectures, meditation, Yoga Nidra and yoga classes led by Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sri Avatar Puriji. Children took part in special programmes and performances, while guest speakers and teachers shared their knowledge and experience.
Beyond the scheduled classes, the retreats offered something equally important: time to live together in a spiritual environment, practise karma yoga, share vegan and vegetarian meals and conversations, and experience the strength of a community united by a common spiritual path.
In this atmosphere, yoga became not simply a daily practice, but a way of living together with greater awareness, patience, devotion and mutual support.

Cultivating the Inner Light - Strilky, Czechia
The summer journey began at Mahaprabhudeep Ashram in Strilky, Czechia, surrounded by peaceful hills and nature.
Opening the retreat, Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Avatar Puri Ji spoke about the importance of inner development in a world that often places great emphasis on external and material growth.
“We cannot only grow in the materialistic outer world.”
He reminded participants that the spiritual vibration of satsang does not come only from the physical space of the ashram. It is created by everyone who comes together in prayer, meditation, bhajan and sadhana.
Each person is unique and carries an individual energy field. When people gather with a sincere spiritual intention, this collective energy can strengthen the atmosphere of peace and make the space more luminous.
He compared the effect of satsang, bhajans, meditation and sadhana to ghee offered into a sacred fire - something that gives the fire greater strength and radiance.
The Influence of Satsang
MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji also spoke about the importance of giving children the opportunity to experience a positive spiritual environment.
Even when children may not yet understand the meaning of a mantra or the deeper teachings of yoga, simply being present can have an influence. The vibration of peace, mantra and satsang can become part of their experience and accompany them as they grow.
“It is all in our hands, how we shape it,” he reminded the participants.
Our inner qualities can also become covered by external circumstances, experiences and habitual patterns. MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji described these as layers of dust or fog that conceal the inner divinity already present within us. Through awareness, these layers can gradually be recognised and removed.
“Speak with awareness, listen with patience”
Discovering the Strength Within
Spiritual practice is therefore not about becoming someone else. It is about discovering and expressing the qualities that already exist within us.
MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji encouraged participants to recognise their own inner strength, love, compassion and potential. When we develop awareness of our thoughts, attitudes and actions, many possibilities begin to unfold. Yet spiritual knowledge must be accompanied by practice.
The teachings of yoga give us important qualities and tools: titiksha, endurance; viveka, discrimination and discernment; determination, awareness, devotion and faith. But these qualities become meaningful when they are translated into action.
“We need to do the action for ourselves to develop. We need to do the actions for the community to develop. We need to do the actions for this whole mission of Gurudev to go forward.”
Gurupurnima Celebration - Strilky and OM Ashram
The summer programme included a variety of cultural and spiritual celebrations, with the sacred Gurupurnima being one of the most significant. Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Avatar Puri Ji celebrated Gurupurnima both in Strilky, Czechia, and at OM Ashram in India.
At Mahaprabhudeep Ashram in Strilky, the sacred occasion was marked by beautiful ceremonies, pujas, mantras and prayers, honouring Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puriji (Vishwaguruji), our Guru and spiritual teacher, who has realised the higher purpose of human existence and, for more than 50 years, has been illuminating the path for thousands of people around the world. Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Avatar Puri Ji celebrated Gurupurnima together with Mahamandaleshwar Vivek Puri Ji and numerous sannyasis of the OmSriAlakhpurijiSiddhaPeethParampara, in the presence of hundreds of devotees.
Strilky Gurupurnima
Following the celebrations in Strilky, MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji travelled to India to celebrate Gurupurnima at OM Ashram, in the presence of Vishwaguruji. Thousands of devotees from India and around the world gathered at OM Ashram to offer their love, gratitude and respects to Vishwaguruji and His successor, MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji.
Together, they represent the living continuation of the Guru Parampara, preserving and transmitting the spiritual knowledge that guides us from ignorance towards wisdom, from darkness towards light, and ultimately towards the realisation of our true nature.

Living in the Present - Vep, Hungary
Returning to Europe, Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Avatar Puri Ji continued with a Yoga in Daily Life retreat in Vép, Hungary, where participants gathered for a week of yoga, satsang, meditation and joyful community life.
MM Swami Sri Avatar Puri Ji pointed to the value of living in the present moment. If we remain too focused on what has already happened or constantly worry about what may happen in the future, we can lose awareness of the opportunities available to us now.
“There are so many doors which are waiting for us to open them.”
Fear, worry, sadness and excessive thinking can prevent us from moving forward. Through spiritual practice, we learn to recognise these obstacles and develop the courage and clarity to take the next step.

Carrying the Inspiration Forward
The summer programmes of 2026 offered much more than a break from everyday life. They created opportunities to deepen yoga practice, listen to inspiring teachings, experience the power of satsang and strengthen the connection with the spiritual community.
The true value of a spiritual gathering is not only what we experience while we are together, but what we carry with us afterwards. May the inspiration of this summer continue to grow throughout the year - as an inner spark of awareness, devotion, strength and peace.
